 Welcome to Harbor Oaks Boarding School

Located in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, Harbor Oaks is a private, non-profit, emotional growth school that offers education and programs for young men and women with a history of behavior difficulties, poor academic performance, strained family relationships, and other related problems. Our goal is to help turn lives around for struggling youth and their families.  

We are a faith-based ministry designed to instill integrity, accountability, responsibility, and character, while at the same time giving students the opportunity to achieve a quality education regardless of social status, race or religion.

Harbor Oaks offers help for adolescents and teens struggling with various issues and those who are not responding to their families.  Some of those issues may be:

** We do not accept children who are mentally challenged or those with a history of psychotic episodes.

Harbor Oaks Girls Program

Harbor Oaks for Girls specializes in treating those struggling with Depression, Drug Abuse, ODD, ADD, and ADHD.  New housing is under construction and will be completed by the Summer of 2008.

Harbor Oaks Boys Program

Harbor Oaks for Boys is located on a scenic wooded acreage.  Beautiful cottage-style homes accommodate six to ten boys each, with at least one full-time house parent for security.
